New York’s Ancestral Curse is set to unleash their horror-themed concoction of melodic blackened death metal in their debut release, In Dreams of Endless Darkness (JumpScare Records), on November 16, 2023. Ancestral Curse puts their own spin on the genre while taking inspiration from bands like The Black Dahlia Murder, Carach Angren, and Shadow of Intent. The album’s six energetic, crushing tracks invoke Ari Aster, Bram Stoker, and Goosebumps, running the horror gamut from B-movie inspired camp to downright bone chilling. Ancestral Curse are excited to introduce themselves with this first installment of their spook show.
